Any of various low-growing, mat-forming herbaceous flowering plants of the mustard family (Brassicaceae), especially in the genera Arabis and Aubrieta, native to rocky and alpine habitats and widely cultivated in rock gardens for their dense clusters of small four-petaled white, pink, or purple blossoms.
